Fair Districts New Jersey is a nonpartisan coalition dedicated to ensuring that New Jersey's voting districts are drawn in a way that is transparent, representative, community-driven, and fair. The coalition supports people-powered redistricting processes that eliminate partisan and racial gerrymandering.

Fair Districts calls for more meaningful public input into the process, greater transparency, and an independent redistricting commission. We are part of a national movement to put power where it belongs - into the hands of New Jersey voters.

We need people like you to make redistricting reform a reality in New Jersey.

For the first time, New Jerseyans will have the chance to see and comment on proposed redistricting maps before the boundaries of the 40 legislative districts – and the inside track for control of the Legislature – are set for the next decade.

Retired judge Philip Carchman, the court-appointed 11th member of the Apportionment Commission, said Wednesday that “one dominant theme” in the testimony at the public hearings has been that maps should be available for public comment.
